New singers and updated gallery

Been a while! It's like I've mentioned, when you're busy doing the stuff you should be writing about, you don't have time to write about it. Obviously the big thing in 2022 was the whole-summer-long Jenny Lind -tour with the scholarship recipient Tessan-Maria Lehmussaari. My previous blog post was published just as we were boarding a flight to Washington D.C. and after we'd been to Toronto and the Niagara falls. After D.C. the tour continued to Moline IL, Minneapolis, Lindsborg KS, New Orleans, San Francisco and finally Chicago. After only two weeks at home we embarked on a new tour around Sweden. We documented the tours on our Instagram accounts, Tessan's can be found on @tessanmariasoprano, and mine here. These days, my Insta account has a bigger role in news and updates about my work, so I'll be writing here only sporadically.

Now, some news. In 2022 I got to collaborate with two new amazing artists whose paths hadn't crossed with mine before: soprano Susanna Stern and tenor Georg Källström.

Susanna Stern has already had an amazing career in Sweden and abroad. She's done notable roles at the Royal Swedish Opera (who doesn't know Queen of the Night, huh?) and is one of the driving forces behind the esteemed Vadstena Academy. She's also one of the previous Jenny Lind scholars and has done more or less the same tour as we did with Tessan-Maria last summer! Here's a link to her artist management Braathen's website where you can read more about her: Susanna Stern.

It was an absolute pleasure to perform with her at the Swedish History Museum at an event that celebrated Myntets Dag (the day of the coin) in September. I'm grateful to the Royal Music Academy for getting us together, we'll definitely be working together again in the future!

It was a year ago, more or less to the day, that I met Georg Källström for the first time. Now it seems way longer than that! We did the Swedish part of the Jenny Lind -tour together as a trio, and just before the holidays me and Georg teamed up for some cozy xmas-concerts. Georg has worked in Bergen, Norrlandsoperan, Malmö, Växjö, Kalmar and Stockholm, and that's only naming a few of his many projects, and only in 2022! It's been very easy to work with him, he's such a great talent and lovely person to hang with. Read more about Georg here.

I've updated the Gallery-section of this website with pictures from our photoshoots with Mirella Lehmussaari. It was about time, since some of those pictures were taken in March 2020 and some January 2022... Mirella is incredible, my next assignment is to update my design portfolio with better quality images taken by her.
